Get ready for a wild ride through the world of Dr. Seuss! All your favourite Dr. Seuss characters leap from the page to the stage in Seussical, brought to life by the talented cast of the National Youth Theatre. Join Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and friends from the Jungle of Nool and Circus McGurkus as they take you on a whimsical journey through a fantastical and wacky world.

This musical extravaganza narrates the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Among them is Jojo, a Who child who gets into trouble for thinking too many “thinks.”

Horton’s mission becomes twofold: he must protect the Whos from the naysayers and dangers of the world and also guard an abandoned egg entrusted to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. As Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and even a trial, his loyalty never wavers. Meanwhile, the determined Gertrude McFuzz embarks on her own journey of self-discovery to stand by Horton’s side.

Can they save the Whos? This vibrant musical explores the power of friendship, loyalty, family and community, reminding us that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.”
