The first night of the 2025 Rumakina Immerse Festival is an evening of enchantment, with three of the best-loved pieces in the repertoire.
Mussorgsky’s "Night on Bald Mountain" and Paul Dukas’ "Sorcerer’s Apprentice" were both highlights of Walt Disney’s Fantasia, for their dramatic evocations of witches’ sabbaths and young wizards.
Stravinsky’s "Petrushka" depicts a street magician’s one true act of enchantment, when his human-sized puppets spring to life. Originally composed for the Ballets Russes, Petrushka wows audiences with its raucous orchestral timbres, vibrant instrumentation, and driving, irresistible rhythms.
$2.50 per hour to a max of $12.50 on weekends and a $12 flat rate for weekday evenings at The Civic car park. Find out more.
