Pack a picnic rug, water, sunblock and hat, and head along to Music in Parks featuring a diverse range of New Zealand’s top musical talent, with something for every musical taste. From the electrifying beats of hip-hop to the contemporary sounds of indie-folk, the series will bring audiences the very best of local music under the sun.

Aotea Square | Saturday 18 Jan | 1 - 4pm

It’s feel-good tunes in the heart of the city. Meet up with friends for an afternoon of smooth melodies with Georgia Lines, Fin Rah Zel, Fan Club, and Rumpus Machine.

A band of brothers and sisters from Auckland’s North Shore, Rumpus Machine takes pride in performing covers of the most epic classic rock songs in history. Fan Club’s blend of edgy guitar, tight rhythm section and soulful vocals gets the crowd going, then 5-piece band Fin Rah Zel weave dreamy zen and infectious optimism into their indie soul.

Mt Maunganui’s Georgia Lines heads this line-up of Aotearoa talent with her irresistible personality, chart-topping hits, enchanting vocals and catchy R&B-infused pop.

Join one of Aotearoa’s most acclaimed singer-songwriters Anna Coddington for an enchanting pop-up performance.

Coddington’s songwriting ability, both in English and te Reo Māori, has seen her nominated for numerous awards. She’ll be joined by special guests for a session of warm and inspiring summer music. Watch this space for the full line-up!

Auckland Council’s Music in Parks is teaming up with Britomart to celebrate the precinct's 20th birthday with a free concert in Takutai Square on Friday 21 March.

The night will showcase emerging talent in collaboration with Stand Up Stand Out and headlined by some big names to be announced soon.

So mark this Friday 21 March as a night to spend downtown enjoying the city and some of its best musicians.
