Calling all young eco-scientists - we have a challenge for you! How does water go from dirty to clean? How does a big city like Auckland make sure everybody has fresh water? Using our cool science kits, can you transform contaminated water to sparkling clean?

Join Auckland Libraries and Waicare at the Daldy Street Rain Gardens this summer. You will get to try out innovative tricks that real scientists use, get hands-on practice making water clean and drinkable again, and test samples from the four corners of Tāmaki.

This is a fun and educational day for the whole family, helping equip our young scientists and eco-warriors with tools to become kaitiaki of this precious taonga in the future.

We will be out and about exploring the science of clean water with our Kōrero Bike - our mobile library on three wheels! Bring the whole family along, ages 7-13, with activities for the younger ones too. Please bring a sun hat, sunscreen, drink bottle and snack for your little scientists.
