Calling all fried chicken lovers!
If you love fried chicken, this is your clucky day, because Auckland’s Fried Chicken Festival is back.
What’s more, this year it’s being held at the delightful waterfront venue Shed 10, where over a dozen vendors will be doing what they do best, and that’s serving mouth-watering treats, with a focus on fried chicken.
Even better, you can travel the world with your palette as your passport, with each chef putting their own international twist on their menu, inspired by their heritage.
Some of the street food favourites to tickle your tastebuds include:
Gracefully Jerked – Jamaican-inspired fried chicken dishes
NomNom – Asian-inspired morsels
Canteen Bali – Indonesian-inspired
More Pork BBQ -New Orleans-inspired fried chicken and waffles
Manila Eats -Filipino-inspired
Pie Piper – American-inspired desserts and donuts - because you can’t live on chicken alone.
Ice Cream Social – no prizes for guessing what these guys serve, but if you don’t know it’s real fruit ice cream.

Spread over two floors, grab a drink and sit upstairs to enjoy your kai while listening to live music that will get your toes tapping.
Stalls will also sell condiments, and the bar will stock local beverages from The Hunting Lodge, Pals, Karma drinks and craft beer from Behemoth, including the exclusive Fried Chicken Festival Hazy Pale Ale 'Deep Fried Goodness'.
Even better, each food truck will have at least one dish that costs less than $10 which means more cluck for your buck.

There will be two sessions this year: 12-4pm and 5-9pm.
